THE LOCAL MARKET

Last week, sales in Perth increased by 4.4 per cent, with 968 transactions. House sales rose by 4.8 per cent, while unit and land sales saw increases of 3.7 per cent and 3 per cent respectively.

Properties available in Perth increased by 2.7 per cent, with 3,818 properties for sale by the end of the week. This increase was mainly due to a 2.7 per cent rise in house listings, while unit listings remained steady, and land listings increased by 9.1 per cent. Despite this rise, the total number of available properties is still 3.4 per cent lower than four weeks ago and significantly down by 42.5 per cent compared to last year.

DEPARTMENT OF PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

In the rental market, there were 2,078 properties for rent last week, marking a 1.6 per cent increase from the previous week. Rental listings have been steadily rising over the past four weeks, indicating some potential reprieve in the market.

 Last week, 644 properties were leased, a 2.5 per cent increase from the previous week. At White House, our property management team have found interest and enquiries have slowed and are seeing lower numbers at home opens.
